Today I paid a visit to the company to drop by and fax the filled out forms. When I got back home I got an cc from the following email to my collegue:

Dear Susanne,

Thank you so much for providing all the paperwork for Lotte’s visa application. Everything’s complete and we are ready to issue her visa certificate by the beginning of next week. Do you know if Lotte has already scheduled an appointment for the personal interview at the U.S. Consulate in the Netherlands? If so, please let me know the date and we will be able to figure out a realistic starting date.

Kind regards and have a good weekend

I think it won’t be long from now when I get my visa (((-:

And of course, how could it be else……. My contact person went on holiday and I got stuck with a lot more paperwork I was not aware of. I’m glad my colleague contacted the company in the USA which provides the visa’s. They told her they still need a lot of forms to be filled out by me. She tried to contact Europracticum for more information but they didn’t know exactly what was missing. They promised to do some research on the missing documents.

Meanwhile my colleague found the website of the German American Chamber of Commerce in New York who will provide a visa for me. From that website she downloaded the whole package of documents required to fill in to get a visa. At last I can finish all the paperwork with some great help of my colleague.

Since I still have no idea when I will get my visa, I created this category so everyone can follow the progress of my visa application.
To get a visa I contacted Europracticum in The Netherlands. They have contacts in the USA. Unfortunately the contact person of Europracticum went on holiday a few days ago and will be back the 14th of July. I hope this will not delay the progress of my visa application.
